The Work Involved In Real Estate Investing

You might be wondering how much work is required to invest in real estate.  Are you going to have to get your hands dirty?  The technical answer to this question is that it all depends on the agreement that is set up between everyone involved in the investment.  But, let’s get more specific than that.  Let’s talk about real estate investing the way that we typically do it.

We’ve said before that we provide passive real estate investing opportunities.  This means that, No, you won’t have to get your hands dirty.  You won’t be called upon to fix a leaking toilet or to clear a clogged drain.  We are responsible for finding, negotiating, and procuring the property.  Investors provide funds necessary for closing.  We use our expertise to find the best possible companies to do the day to day management of the investment.  We have specific reporting requirements that the companies follow to insure that the investment is performing properly.  If corrections need to be made, we make them.  On a periodic basis we have investor meetings, where we update our investors on the state of the real estate investment.  We discuss any issues, and get input on decisions that need to be made.
